Eudora (5.1,5.2)
- Open Eudora
- Right Click in the personalities frame, when the menu appears, click "new".
- A window will popup and Select "Create a brand new email account", click next.
- In the Personality Name enter FireBrickSky, Click on Next
- Enter your Name. Lcick Next
- Enter your email address to be shown (eg yourname@yourcompany.com), click next.
- Enter your FireBrickSky login name. Click next.
- Incoming server is: smtp.firebricksky.net, select "pop" (default) click next.
- Outgoing server is: smtp.firebricksky.net, make sure allow authentication is selected, click next.
- Click "finish"
- A popup window will ask you for your password. Enter your password and click OK.
- Next we have to setup the secure portion of the connection
- Right click on the newly created account and click properties.
- At the bottom of the window where it reads "secure sockets when sending" pull-down box, select "Required,Alternate Port".
- Select the "incoming mail" tab at the top.
- At the bottom of the window where it reads "secure sockets when sending" pull-down box, select "Required,Alternate Port".
- Click OK
- Eudora will now try to make a connection to the server. When it times out it you need to add the new certificate. Here are the steps.
- Click "personalities" tab again.
- Right click the newly created FireBrickSky account.
- Click the Incoming Mail tab at the top of the popup window
- Click "Last SSL Info" button at the bottom of the popup window
- Click "Certificate Information Manager" button at the bottom of the window
- Click on the certificate line in the top portion of the window that has a line smtp.firebricksky.net
- Click "Add to Trusted", Click "Done", Click "ok"
- Click Ok.
